You can wander thru and read or there are tours..we happened in on a tour. The tour guide was incredibly knowledgeable and fun to listen too. We had a later flight and this was a great way to spend some time.
Completely worth checking out if you're a burlesque nerd like I am. I'm the producer of a burlesque troop in Seattle and my love of burlesque started with a Neo-Burlesque class at Cornish College of the Arts many years ago. I enjoyed all the accurate history that was explained in this short tour.
Tip for the amazing owners: I think the tour would be more fun if we got taught how to bump and grind (since the tour guide herself is a burlesque performer!!) with the props at the end, as a group. It'd be very playful and fun to just be taught a few moves. I wanted to buy some merch but the selection wasn't huge. Love Burlesque, love the concept of this museum, love that it's a non profit, and love everything sparkly. Keep it up and THANK YOU for this museum.
The cost of admission includes a half hour guided tour through the history of burlesque, which was absolutely worth it. We arrived a little early, and had no problems wondering the museum for ourselves before the tour, but the tour gave a lot more details and information that I had missed wandering through by myself. Very good experience, I highly recommend coming to visit when you're in Las Vegas!
This petite museum of burlesque artifacts takes visitors beyond the va va voom. Rare photos, costumes, and other archival materials about the art form make it a fun stop if you’re in Vegas. Love the donor wall of pasties, find the names of your local greats! We arrived while a tour was already in place, and it was easily to listen in while we wandered around the two rooms. That’s also Dita Von Teese’s prop martini glass! Once you’re done, wander down to check out the rest of the shops in the Arts District.
Great little museum! Very cool history, interesting facts and impressive small exhibits. The short tour (included) was great, Buttercup was a cool guide and had lots of interesting add ons not resident in the displays themselves. Definitely recommend, a great short stop when in the arts district.
As a fan of burlesque and its history, I found it to be a remarkable experience. So much information was shared
And our tour guide was truly knowledgeable and enthusiastic about this beautiful art. Beyond glad I went!
Super fun experience! The staff was friendly and very excited to share upcoming events with us. We felt super welcome. There are lots of photos, some costumes, and a cool history lesson. I really love the area that focuses on women, empowerment, and inclusion.
My friends and I went today for Museum Day! This place is not huge but it is packed with history! We got the official tour and our tour guide was awesome! She was very well spoken, knew her history and had me completely engaged! I highly recommend this as “must see/must do” when in Vegas!! I will definitely be back!
